What makes me a good neutral is my deep understanding of the role and the passion I bring to the process. I realized early in my mediation journey, during a case where a party thanked me for simply listening, how crucial it is to be a good listener and facilitator. Their comment—"If someone had listened earlier, and helped us sort these through open communications, our relationship could have been saved"—left a profound impact on me. It showed me that a neutral isn't just a mediator but a guide who helps navigate emotions and conflicts to reach amicable solutions. After making the shift from litigation, I consciously shed the litigation mindset and fully embraced the principles of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), focusing on resolving disputes through collaboration rather than confrontation. I’ve pursued extensive certifications, including accreditations from the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation, International Mediation Institute, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I am also an IMI qualified mediator, IIAM empanelled arbitrator and Associate CIArb. My approach centers on dispute prevention and quick and amicable resolution, with an emphasis on maintaining relationships and avoiding prolonged legal battles whenever possible. Alongside my practice in mediation and arbitration, I actively mentor young ADR aspirants, helping shape the future of dispute resolution in both online and offline spaces. My commitment to the field is driven by a genuine desire to make the world a better place to live.
